Brand, website, and programming for The Garage — Malta's new cultural hub for the underground. A 200-capacity sound bar, live music venue, and creative space in Zebbug, built in partnership with MusicPlayground and Kewn Records as a permanent home for the island's independent scene.

Challenge

  • Malta's underground scene had no permanent home — talented musicians, DJs, and visual artists were scattered across pop-up nights, festival slots, and short-term venues.
  • A new space needed a complete identity from day one: a brand musicians would be proud to belong to, a website that told the story honestly, and a programme that delivered consistent quality across genres.

Process

  • Brand & Identity — Developed The Garage as an independent brand built on music, creativity, freedom, and collaboration. 'House of the Underground' as the positioning, with a raw, multi-genre, all-welcome ethos.
  • Website & Digital — Designed and built the full thegarage.mt experience: hero reel, what's-on listings, programming, gallery of the space, booking flow, and a wall celebrating Malta's local legends.
  • Programming & Operations — Curated the event programme across live music, club nights, artist showcases, listening parties, exhibitions, and private hire — leveraging the existing MusicPlayground network and Kewn Records partnership.

Results

  • Launched a permanent 200-capacity venue for Malta's underground community.
  • Established The Garage as an independent brand with its own identity, voice, and audience.
  • Built the digital and operational infrastructure for a multi-genre cultural hub — live music, club nights, exhibitions, and private events under one roof.
